If you think women are the weaker sex, try pulling the blankets back to your side.

 The Last Pharaoh

Still lovely despite the grief that she felt

She sits, wicker basket held on her knee

Lost is the love that was never to be

Two noble proud lovers with her had dwelt
Two lovers, but one that made her heart melt

Plans made, dreams dreamt beneath an almond tree

All came to naught when Rome forced her to flee

Forlorn lover follows the hand fate dealt.

*

Anthony by his own hand is no more

And Cleopatra will join with him soon

Two lovers together on that far shore

Forever as one beneath a silver moon

Alone she must follow, enter deaths door

The bite, the pain and darkness, grant her boon.
