The Bugs In Darwins Bed Non Fiction
Bryan Harbottle
The 'Bugs' in the title refer to Darwin's personal difficulties many of which are experienced by non-believers today. Among them were :
HIS FEAR that natural selection would be equated with other evolutionary theories involving a Creator.
HIS HORROR at the nightmare world revealed by his own theory of natural selection.
HIS VEXATION at the Bible whose every word was considered true despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
HIS FRUSTRATION at the power of the Design Argument for God while he was explaining a world without a Creator.
HIS RECOIL from the cruelty in nature that could not be equated with a loving God.
HIS SUFFERING as a blind vindictive Church hounded him for his beliefs.
HIS INDIGNATION at the Christian Doctrine of eternal damnation that sent good people who rejected Christianity to Hell.
MORE INDIGNATION at the assumption that non-believers could not be good men.
HIS IMPATIENCE with society that saw mankind's ape ancestry as degrading and made pariahs of those rejecting Adam and Eve.
HIS SORROW at the desertion of associates who could not do without their God.

In setting up ‘Showcase Your Book’ I am hoping to fill a niche in the market place.
A showcase, where those of us who are going it alone can offer our books for sale, without having the buyer put off by the addition of a £1.99 sourcing fee and the information that delivery could be as long as six weeks, when in many cases it could be as little as a four to six days. Oh, and I nearly forgot, around 40% of the book price to a wholesaler. Mind you that’s the free listing, if you pay an annual fee of £23.50 and a whopping 60% of your book’s sale price, the book will be stocked and standard delivery will apply. However people will still have to find your book in amongst the many, many, thousands listed.
Even if you think the above doesn't apply, because your self publisher does the selling, you still need all the help you can to generate sales.
So how about it, fancy giving it a try, I’m not saying we can beat the big boys, but I’m saying we could have a try. We may not succeed, but at the very least we will have another outlet for our books.
As I have said above, if you have published through on of the many self publishing companies and your book is listed on their site and Amazon, you can still list it here with a redirection to Amazon and /or your publishers site as the purchase points. (You do not have to sell your book here, you can simply list it here) It is another source of advertising for your book and it's free. So why not join in, the more books we can list, the more people will come to the site.
If you wish to have your book listed, I will set up the listing for free.
If you are interested in using Showcase Your Book, send me the following infrmation by email or if you prefere by post.
