Sub title: Lords in the North, it is a free to read resource in ebook format that gives snippets of historical information covering the Anglo-Saxon kings of Bernicia, Deira, Northumbria and the High-Reeves of Bamburgh. The first king was Ida who ousted the Briton Morgan bulc and took his kingdom and last was king Aelle II who was tortured to death by the Danish invader Ivar the Boneless. The last king was followed by the Anglo-Saxon High-Reeves of Bamburgh who manged to hold onto the lands above the river Tyne despite the Danes.
