634AD Eanfrith Bernicia and Osric Deira

When his father was kiled, Eanfrith fled north to pictland where he was baptised as a christian, married a pictish princess and had a son called Talorca, who later became king of the picts.

634AD. At the death of Edwin in 633, Eanfrith the exiled son of Aethelfrith returned to take the throne of Bernicia and reverted from christianity back to paganism

Osric a Cousin of Edwin also retuned from exile and took the throne of Deira. Osric was the son of Aellfic and he himself was the father of Oswin

In the first year of his reign Osric of Deira also reverted back to paganism, raised an army  and beseiged Cadwallon in the City of York, but according to Bede, Cadwallon, "Sallied out on a sudden with all his forces, by surprise, and destroyed him and all his army."

After the death of Osric and with Cadwallon still razing the north, Eanfrith attemped to negotiate a peace, (acording to bede Eanfrith "with only twelve soldiers" went to Cadwallon), the attempt failed, and he too was slain.
