 759AD. Aethelwald Moll seized the throne when Oswulf was assassinated, (Probably on the orders of Athelwald Moll).

 761AD. Oswine, the brother of Oswulf, challenged him for the throne. The two sides met at Ledunum (near Melrose) and in a hard fought battle that raged for three days, Oswine fell and Aethelwald Moll retained the kingdom.

762AD. Aethelwald Moll married Aethelthryth at Catterick.

765AD. His own nobles called for the Witan to gather at Pincanheale and Aethelwald Moll was deposed and forced to become a monk.

Ealchred a cousin of Oswulf was placed on the throne in his stead.
